Previously submitted and accepted inked/rolled prints will still be valid for renewals from what I understand; they don't have to be electronic.

Correct. The FBI stopped in 2010 and DPS is doing so March 1st.

Just heard that CHL instructors can't do ink prints after after March 1, but that DPS will accpet inked prints done prior to March 1st up through April 15th. After that, must be from L-1.

I could be wrong on the date, but I believe DPS said they would no longer accept inked/rolled prints after March 1, 2011. Hopefully someone will correct me if that is not right.
