Re: How was your fair experience?

Interesting as I was told by one of the employees that they had a 30.06 or similar sign. However, if they are serving alcohol, then they have to have an 'Unlicensed possesion...' sign or a 51% sign. If they have neither, then they are in violation of TABC rules. :smash:

Yes, but you need to be prepared to show your license and your weapon must be totally concealed.

We have an abundance of security (police) at the Fair.

First off, welcome to the forum.

The Fair's website tells you it's legal. You are just getting the opinion of a PR person who has no authority since the Fairgrounds is owned by the City of Dallas and they cannot legally prohibit concealed carry.

So, in other words, carry away and don't what their opinion is. :thumbs2:

If it legitimately is Private Property, and they have a 30.06, that's fine. But if it's Government Property, and not a 51% location, then they are incorrect, and it is legal.
The Old Mill is privately owned.

Well that's obviously not a 51% sign then, as "No Concealed Handguns" is not in the verbiage of an official 51% sign.

IIRC, it reads "The licensed or unlicensed possession of......" etc...

Someone who goes there, get pictures, and check their TABC License if you have a chance, let us know the 'official' answer! :thumbs2:
What I meant to imply was it is apparently 30.06 posted, NOT a 51% sign.

Re: How was your fair experience?

Can't tell if the The Old Mill Inn is 51% or not from the database since they don't have a Food and Beverage license, only CB, LB and PE. Texas3006.com doesn't show them as posted, but they could be. Would be a good one to find out from a Fair goer.
