Ahhh, the world of free enterpeise. Just because it is there, doesn't mean it will sell. However, chances are someone will come along and want it bad enough to buy it for the asking price.RPB wrote:LOL you can still buy new ones only $30.00 more than a regular LCP at the gun stores.austinrealtor wrote:Oh man, it's already started .... someone is selling one of these "rare" and "collectable" Ruger LCPs for $500 on TGT.com ... http://texasguntrader.com/index.php?a=2&b=58983" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's a few words and two designs stamped onto the slide, folks. Sure it's a unique (and funny) conversation piece .... but already a 50% secondary market mark up? Come on ...
Whoever is selling it must live by the "sucker born every minute" code of ethics.

Re: Texas gov. shoots, kills 'wily' coyote during jog
Well, I would have given you a funny look too. Everyone knows he should carry a .45 instead of a 9mm or .380. Sheesh!jmorris wrote: On a personal note I was standing in the coffee line when a women said "I can't believe Perry carries a, what'd they call it, a .380? while jogging".
I said, yeah, you think he'd carry at least a 9mm.
Now, if looks could kill, she wouldn't have needed laser sights.

Yes, state statutes allow the use of deadly force to protect livestock or domestic animals. Not so say you may have some 'splainin' to do to the police, but it is legal.Teamless wrote:But, if you are not hunting, but as The Gov was doing, out with his dog, and a Coyote comes up and starts to attack, am I legal to shoot it?Keith B wrote:prohibit shooting them in the city limits

Re: Texas gov. shoots, kills 'wily' coyote during jog
You are right, city ordinances prohibit shooting them in the city limits (hunting them anyway).CaptWoodrow10 wrote:I'm pretty sure that you cant shoot them city limits (as most cities have ordinances restricting this type of thing), and I don't think you can blow them into a million pieces with dynamite either. A combination of the two is definitely a no no.chabouk wrote:I didn't think you needed anything other than a Texas hunting license to kill any coyote, anywhere, any time, by any means. Was I wrong?
And no, you can't use dynamite. Besides, everyone knows dynamite is for fishing!!

Re: Texas gov. shoots, kills 'wily' coyote during jog
You ought to send these links to the Governor's press office so they can cite the stories to those that protest that coyote's are not dangerous. Mark Miner is no longer there, but you can send them to Ashton Morgan at ashton.morgan@governor.state.tx.us. Would be good response ammo for those that fuss about coyote's being docile animals and his need to not shoot it.

This woman must be lying about screaming during the attack.
Besides, if you scare them away from adults, they'll change to looking for kids:

From the article:Embalmo wrote:I didn't notice that either.UpTheIrons wrote:Did he not have it in Condition One (or Condition Zero, since the LCP is DAO)? I must have missed that in the articles I read.chabouk wrote:So, he doesn't carry with one in the pipe?
I am assuming that he meant he racked the slide to chamber a round."I holler and the coyote stopped. I holler again. By this time I had taken my weapon out and charged it. It is now staring dead at me. Either me or the dog are in imminent danger. I did the appropriate thing and sent it to where coyotes go," he said.
EDIT TO ADD: Unless he is beta testing the new LCP with built-in rechargable tazer.
