Don’t despair. I distinctly recall being taught in MYF, many years ago that one of the canons of the Methodist faith is that, in order to get into Heaven, all one must do is bring a covered dish.

Re: Nebraska Reciprocity
Family disagreements can be really trying and stressful. My sympathies with having to deal with it. I have had many of those over the years, but luckily not over my CHL (in-laws are cool with it), so usually they get over it.Tactical_Texan_CHL wrote:My wife's extended family almost all live in Nebraska. She has some uncles who are hunters and shooters, and some who are DIE HARD against any kind of gun at all. We've had some tense discussions at the family dinner table. I always keep my mouth shut, to be polite. But my father in law almost always involves me and last summer, pointed out the fact that I have, as he puts it, an "arsenal" at home. He also was kind enough to mention that I have a Texas CHL. We'd talked about it because he's interested in getting his also. He brought it up with the intent to say you guys liked him before you knew that about him, has he changed any? It backfired. I'm now the black sheep, bad in law on that side of the family. My name was left off of a Christmas card last year, and the mother in law has since been asked if I'm a violent person?!?!?!?! We're also going to heck according to them because we're members of a Methodist church. But that's a WHOLE 'nother story!!
As for being condemned to going below when you die, I guess you will have company; I am Methodist too.
