Re: Landlord Liability
Here is a source for resident information: http://www.taa.org/renterinfo/faqs/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The information below is from that site. Can the manager enter my apartment when I'm not at home? There are a number of reasons why property managers or maintenance...

Re: Do you think unlicensed Open-Carry will pass in Texas?
I would expect licensed open carry to pass long before unlicensed carry. When the state sees a chance to keep somebody working collecting fees they have more of an interest. While I am for open carry, I would hate to see the right to conceal carry lost along the way. Allowing concealed carry in more...

Re: on the john
I live in constant fear of public restrooms. in almost 29 years of life, I've only had to resort to them a few times. The key words here are "in almost 29 years of life". When you reach 50 like some of us, you will find yourself needing such places more often. I seldom use public restroom...

Re: TX Resident + military + moving
TX is my legal state of residence and will remain so with a move. I will NOT maintain the residence on my license but since I dont have to get a new drivers license the CHL and DL would match. I believe you will have to change address on your DL and CHL to another Texas address for notification pur...

Re: on the john
These days since I carry in an ankle holster its not really a problem. In the past when I faced with this situation; a) I have made the decision to leave the handgun in the car before going to use a public restroom. b) Hung the handgun on the back of the door either with the holster or in a jacket. ...

Re: Hilton Anti-CHL?
For several years I have spent two nights in October in the Doubletree I35 & Hwy, Austin, for training. They were not posted last year, sure hope it is resolved before next year or I might not be going. It appears that it is not every Doubletree (Hilton Hotel) that is posted. I contacted the as...

Re: do I need a CHL for this?
Not the question -- but I have always felt obligated to inform my host that I have my handgun with me anytime I have stayed over in somebody's home. Never been a problem with any of my friend's. In one case when staying with friends with four kids in the house I made the decision to keep my gun lock...

Re: Disarmed
As I have told here before, I have been licensed since the first year. During that time I have been stopped four times. I always keep my hands in plain site and give them both licenses when stopped. They either ask or I tell them where my handgun is before I reach to the glove box to get my insuranc...

Re: Rifle carry in car
Times are a changing. When I was in High School in the 70's a lot the guys had their rifles & shotguns in the back window of their trucks. The principal would come on the "loudspeaker" and say boys I am not going to tell you again to keep your truck doors locked`. My 1999 truck was the...

Re: Odd situation at Academy Sports
I will use this thread to share my encounter last Friday afternoon. I was the only person in my small office building around 1PM when I heard the bell on the front door open. I went forward to encounter a poorly dressed man making his way to the back of the front office. He said "I need money, ...
