Re: Death Row Commutation in the offing?
I am not a huge fan of the death penalty in general. Life in solitary with no parole is worse than death in my opinion. I don’t want him to ever see the outside of a prison.

Re: 21 or older to buy AR-15?
If the Munich agreement had worked there would have been no war after 1938

Re: 21 or older to buy AR-15?
We can give up a few rights in the name of peace, right?
The Munich agreement worked to pacify Hitler, right? Upon return to Britain, Chamberlain declared that the meeting had achieved “peace in our time.”
See how easy that was, history shows it works.

Re: I want to keep my guns.
... No one here, no group of people here are capable of winning against the govt. During the revolution it only took a few rifles and a few good men. What is your 5,000 acre hillbilly compound going to do against an army equipped with tanks, blackhawks and warthogs? ... If the 2A was really not inf...

Re: I want to keep my guns.
I agree not everyone is stable enough to own or operate guns well. My issue is the old saying of don't give a friend power you would not give your enemy. Currently they 'might' exclude depression, or I had a bad day at work, or ... but anything in they system is like anything on the internet. It may...

Re: Blind student
Are there provisions for an oral exam instead of written? Personally the only time I would be comfortable with a blind person shooting in self defense is if the bad guy was in physical contact with him. Just like I, as a person with sight, would not shoot in the dark. Isn’t one of the safety montras...

Re: "Gun-Buster" Sign Legal?
A sign I have not seen before. About 6x9", gun buster, with no firearms, and both English and Spanish 30.06 wording. If made bigger it would have met standard. The irony is it was at a gas station in Buda on I-35, and right inside the door is a spinning rack full of 2nd amendment stickers, one ...

Re: Can't bring ammo into California
I was in CA over the holidays. I usually bring several guns to go shooting while there. This time I just used my families guns and ammo. We shot 10 different calibers/gauges and had over 15 guns on the tailgate of the trucks. With the heightened ammo/gun issues, I just didn’t want to take a chance o...

Re: Your grandfathers 1911 training
Dad was a Korean war vet who was on pork chop hill at end of the war. We learned to shoot his 1911 as kids. Safety was Paramount, even saying bang while holding a gun was a corporal offence for us. But he was good at pointing and shooting like the video.

Re: H.R.38: National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act
As I read it you must be licenced or approved in your home state in order to carry into other states, so nonresident permits are not included? "or is entitled to carry a concealed firearm in the State in which the person reside" Edit- rereading it, it just says issued by a state, not YOUR ...

Re: OC Has Gun Taken Away
If you can't take some mild criticism, maybe you should reflect on your amount of respect for the first amendment. Maybe there are different definitions of mild. Calling something the dumbest thing you can do is hardly mild. And I agree with others on 1A, it is not a pass to say anything you want w...

Re: Carry in a courtroom
I had this issue when attending an event in the courtroom that was not court. Our county considers the courtroom always off limits and is posted at the door to the room, not the bldg. The LEO on duty when I went in allowed me to stand in the small entry room(courtroom has double doors) and watch wha...

Re: Had an issue at the NASJRB in Fort Worth
Over zealous govt stupidity at it's finest! Right up there with taking cuticle cutter from the pilot of an American Airlines plane because they could be used to hijack the plane he's already in charge of! That pilot is a friend of mine from my church. He and his wife usually sit a row or two behind...

Re: "Gun-Buster" Sign Legal?
Other topics I have seen mis-represented in class:
Airports are off limits completely
Parking lots of schools are off limits
you should not carry in govt buildings
who in a car can have a weapon if not an LTC (from my understanding it is only the driver who is in control of the vehicle)

Re: Now this is the reason why I carry
OP - :eek6 :tiphat: :cheers2: :clapping: :thumbs2: Even though I have my LTC, I went through a follow up course this weekend just to refresh and get more training. At my level, I like more than the 21-30' for a ready. As soon as someone draws on me(pipe, or otherwise), my pre-determined plan...
