Re: Voting with LTC as ID?

Used my LTC today with zero problems. My husband on the other hand had to calmly explain to his voting clerk that his LTC was valid to use. After a couple minutes she figured it out and got everything rolling.

Re: I have a problem!

But that Kahr turned me into a trigger snob! What has this world come to! Then these might really tickle your fancy...that is if you're a 1911 guy. I, myself, have become quite the trigger snob as of late. I picked up this interchangeable trigger system for my EDC. I can switch between curved and f...

Looks like something Cabot Gun would put together. Good luck dealing with your trigger snobbiness, it's a slippery slope :biggrinjester:

Re: Texas State Parks - Open Carry

There was an email that went out to all park volunteers just before open carry went into effect. It stated open and concealed carry would be legal as long as you were properly licensed. I can't recall if it was all parks (I feel like it was) but it also stated that volunteers and employees would not...

Re: First days of carry....not very comfortable

I'm an appendix carrier. I move between 12:00 and 1:00. It's what I've found worked for me so now I've started buying holsters specifically for appendix. It made all the difference for me sitting for long periods of time, especially in the car. Many people are afraid to try that position. I get that...

Re: The only good snake...the only good shotgun

I've actually never gotten to fire a revolver. Will have to rectify that. I was shocked how little recoil dad's shotgun had. Made me completely reevaluate the shotgun species. I have a Benelli Nova for dove hunting. Thing shoots like a dream and I've never had any issues with bruises. Even with mag...

Re: Loose Trigger on a Winchester Mod 94

My 94 does not do that but mine is a much more recent 94 (approx 2006). A quick google search turns up that it might be a normal thing but that would bother me just like ot concerns you. That's about as much help as I can offer, sorry

Hopefully someone else here has the answer!

Re: No "Trigger warnings" at UChicago

Honestly I don't know what universities actually have a so called "safe place" policy in terms of discussing ideas. If Texas State had one while i was there I never knew it and would've never used it. This is literally the first time I've ever heard of such a thing. You were probably too ...

Re: My Latest Addition; Sig Sauer P238

I had that same experience with my 938 when looking at replacing the trigger. I heard the detent land "somewhere over there" on the carpet but dug out a magnet and started a slow search-pattern, cursing myself for an idiot for not having done it in a bag as I know I should. Less than 5 mi...

Re: Browning 1911 .380 ACP

I was pretty scared to shoot 45 for the first time but after focusing on my technique I realized it wasn't nearly as bad as I had feared. I switch between my Sig p938 and XDS. 45 as my carry guns depending on my mood. I don't know if you've offered your 1911 for her to shoot or not but it might be g...

Re: Concealed Carry: A Woman's Perspective

Because of my curves I've found that appendix is actually really comfortable for me. I do a lot of work outdoors so I end up having loser fitting shirts and it works out really well for me. Really good article and she hits the nail on the head with the blatant sexism in gunshops sometimes. I can't ...

Re: Latest addition to my collection

Nice choice! Husband picked one up second hand about a year ago and it is a solid gun. It's our first experiment into three 1911 world and we really enjoy it alot. We'ver named it "Thumper" because sometimes we forget what a 45 feels like :smilelol5: Did you get the all stainless or the li...
