If you don't know of something on your application that's worth worrying about, don't worry. I bet you're getting real close. Hang in there.

You - the King of Texas

IF, by some strange set of circumstances, you were asked to "fix" Texas law with regard to firearms, what would you change? You can't re-write US law, of course, but would you make it easier to get a CHL (or do away with licensing), make it tougher, change any of the requirements, or...wha...

I think you won't know until you get a 3" - and a 4" - and a 5". Be sure and try 3 1/2", too! ;-) Sorry for a "smart" answer, but I'm working my way through this problem and I don't have a good answer yet. I do think you'll carry a 3" more readily than another. Goo...

SPS Guns at Beltline and Josey in Carrollton might be worth trying. Pretty good selection of Don Hume and Galco - and fair prices.

That's a situation that could have turned from stupid to tragic. Could have gone several different ways but it seems like it turned out for the best.

Thanks for the responses. I don't think I would - but I'm not sure. One thing about it - it'd probably cause me to dress a little nicer than I normally do! I'd want BG's to at least wonder if I was a LEO.

Would you "open carry"?

IF you could carry openly in Texas, would you? Do you think that's safer than carrying concealed?

I'm late in doing it but want to add my "thanks" to those who made this seminar happen. For me, one of the biggest lessons I took away was that, while it's imperative to know the law, the law may very well be read differently by 12 jurors who WILL NOT be CHL'ers or NRA members. Thanks again!

Importance of a Good Belt

Belts aren't as cool as guns or even holsters but - goodness - what a difference a real gun belt makes. I'm fairly new to carrying and carry IWB. I've been "dressing" with one of the 1 1/4" belts I've had for years but yesterday I sprung for a 1 3/4" Galco gun belt. The thickness...

It'd be a pretty boring show if she doesn't have a change of heart. There ARE ratings to consider. ;-)
