I think I may have made a clerical error. I applied for my license in Jan. A week or so later, I took the class and did my fingerprints the same day. That's not to say that I did receive an e-mail, but then deleted it knowing full well that I just submitted my documents and thought the e-mail was frivolous. Big mistake. Reviewing all the posts in this forum made me realize I better make sure I get a confirmation e-mail, plus I may have goofed submitting the documents to RSD the first time and never actually received an e-mail (I've seen a post or two to make sure you select the right buttons when submitting online docs). Whatever the case, I re-submitted the docs and this time I did get a confirmation e-mail.

Unfortunately, I think my clock has reset because I read somewhere that said do not re-submit supporting docs as this will only slow down the process. Great. So, basically I wasted almost 3 full weeks.

I have not contacted RSD in any way, nor have I contacted state rep or governor's office. I plan on waiting it out.

CHL-100: 1/30/16
Uploaded docs to RSD: 1/31/16

Disqualifying conviction in 1997 was expunged in 2002. However, CA county never forwarded docs to DOJ. Last year I was denied picking up my handgun (purchased legally in 2012 at TX Gun Shop) from a local pawn. I had to Appeal to reinstate my right to own & possess a MY already LEGALLY purchased firearm. I received my VAF number and new printout of my criminal background from DOJ, NICS. The disqualifier was no longer on record.

Note: there are numerous Databases the federal and state agencies use for background checks. My husband was a security contractor with secret clearance says every federal department uses their use systems. And none of the agencies share info.

Update:

22 Apr 2016... Called both Reggie's voicemail, left a message and also called the main RSD number. RSD wouldnt give me any other info than "Still processing"
23 Apr 2016... Reggie returned my call and said that I was approved, expect plastic in hand 7-10 days
29 Apr 2016... Website changed today jumped off couch and one leg hopped to the mail box (just had ankle rebuilt in surgery wednesday) no plastic yet

It's already 4/20/16 with no changes in anything. Emailed rsd last week and still no response. Tried calling them but all i get is due to high volumes try back again and than they hang up is there a certain number I call or just the

Ok I got email response saying

Our records indicate your license was selected for issue on 04/20/2016. Allow several days for printing and preparation for mailing. After mailing date, your license should arrive between 7-14 business days.

Does this mean its almost time for me

Status changes online this morning 4/27/17 hopefully will get plastic in hand before weekend to enjoy walley walk

Just got home from work and woooohooooo plastic in mail waiting for me sweet hope everyone's comes in soon
