ALLLRIGHT friends and "lovers of liberty"

After 9 months of waiting and debating with the vacuous system that is the State of Texas DPS, I have finally received my License to carry.

Now before giving me the Hooray! Just know it was not from the state of Texas that I received this license, but rather from the Great State of Arizona; which their carry laws are reciprocal of Texas.

Arizona License to Carry:

*$60
* 2 months (submitted Aug.22nd)
* 2 fingerprint cards
*A copy of your firearms certification

Timeline:

1/10/16- to current Submitted my application (175 days)

2/12/16- to current Date that say was "all-in" (142 days)

4/11/16- to current Sent in additional documents ( 83 days)

Remaining days from having an addition 180 days according to their website policy: (97 days)


So I decided since Texas is taking its sweet time I'm applying for my Arizona carry permit which will allow me to carry in Texas because they honor our state. I know it's not idea to do because you want a permit from your own state, but come on Texas we are paying you for a service......

Well the DPS finally did something good and made it so that we residents and tax payers could see the process of our LTC's.
My only complaint is that I am now on day: 167 from submitting my application and day: 134 since "all-in" and i'm still on the "Fingerprints-under review" stage. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

So many new posters since I've last updated my timeline....

Submitted app. & original documents to DPS: Jan. 10th

Documents Rec. DPS: Feb. 12th

Sent Additional Documents and Rec,: April 11th

So total days of this "fluster Cuck" : 160 days ( We are pretty much on half a year)

*I've emailed State Rep.
*I've emailed DPS

As others leave and I stay I use to be frustrated, now I just don't care. Get here or don't get here, the system is flawed and will probably never be fixed. It is just so ironic that people think Texas is this happy gun toting free for all state, when in actuality it's pretty tough to carry a gun. I have been thinking lately, maybe I should run for office and let my platform be constitutional carry.... I might not win my seat but I can at least rattle a few other chairs. :txflag:

Well I haven't said much on here lately...been kind of laying back and letting the days go by; I also moved residency since I lasted posted, so I am sure that will be an issue soon.

Ouch!!! No offense teachman, I can't wait to see you out of the waiting room!!! Only because it pains me to see that you have waited this long and when you do get your plastic, then you will wait no more.........

Hey cool idea here....lets all pretend we are on the T.V. show "LOST" and this is all a horrible dream that we wake up from and the wait is really not that long and we get our LTC's in a timely manner. "rlol" "rlol" "rlol"
