Re: Crypto-currencies

It's a shame, that on a board like this where people are always so helpful...that we have people accusing others of having ulterior motives simply for discussing something that has been working for them. I do not recall seeing AndyC, TAM, or any of the others suggesting anyone invest or buy anything in particular. All I saw them do was discuss the particulars of the different currencies, and what they have seen from their own returns. I personally see this as no different than someone discussing a new pistol they just bought. If it's not something you're interested in trying, it has no effect on the people who are. Asking honest questions is fine. There have been many who have been curious about crypto-currencies and asking genuine questions to further their knowledge. I've been following this thread and learning a little bit here and there. I'll admit that I do not know enough about the market to feel comfortable investing my money there yet, but that is my own personal decision. I do not think this is a scam nor a ponzi scheme as some have claimed. I could make a loose argument that Social Security is closer to a ponzi scheme than crypto-currencies. Some people only prefer to invest in tangible physical assets. I've personally done a little playing with stock options, but that's me. Thankyou TAM and Andy for discussing what you've learned with us. If nothing else, it's interesting information.
