Re: Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Active Shooter
NOPE! Thats it, case closed. They already filled everything away in that vault like in Indiana Jones. Lets focus on Russia, stormy Daniels and strawsphilip964 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 4:42 pm https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime/sho ... ne-motive/
Las Vegas police end their report on the shooting.
Acted alone.
No motive found.
Bought hotel rooms overlooking two other events one in Vegas other in Chicago.
One other person charged for manufacturing armor piercing bullets.
Spent $95,000 starting in 2016 buying his guns.
Internet searches he made included SWAT tactics.
He took his own life.
Wonder if there is a detailed report, or must we just trust them.

Re: Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Active Shooter
They haven't even given a list of the firearms used in the attack! And that should be pretty obvious to them!!!!

strogg wrote:10000% correct. To be honest, for an event like this, it transpired as expected. LEOs don't exactly training for this sort of stuff every day. Security guards don't exactly expect a heavily armed perp. When a problem arises for the masses, I expected a lot of injuries and chaos to ensue. At this point, the LEOs are still piecing things together. It'll be a tough job, since there were minimal eye witnesses, next to no video, etc. At least they have a perp, albeit deceased. A good investigation takes time. It doesn't help us that everyone and their mothers want their 15 minutes of fame with the media talking about things they barely remember or barely know anything about. Thus even the conflicting information on things that have actually been measured.ELB wrote:It wouldn't have to be if you are shooting at a mass targart, like a bunch of people herded together for a concert.BBYC wrote:Bump fire is not conducive to long range accuracy.
Because different reporters have talked to different people who may or may not have been actual witnesses to what happened. Take a car accident with two drivers and three witness. Ask them all for statements. You will get six different stories, if you're lucky they will have some points in common. Really, if all the early reports came out with the same, non-conflicting info, that would be much more indicative of something funny going on.TreyHouston wrote:So I read that the security guard was shot BEFORE the shooting and then I read he was shot AFTER the shooting started.
I read the time from the first shot to SWAT taking the room was 12 and I have read 90 minutes.
Perp was there for 3 days and now 5 days.
WHY DOES THE TIMELINE KEEP CHANGING? If this was an interrogation, the suspect (government) would be really screwed on their credibility!!!!!
People's recollection of hard numerical data, like passage of time and numbers of anything are really not very good, especially under stress. It will take watching lots of video tape, recorded radio and 911 calls, and the like to pin down a reliable time line.
Here's something y'all may find interesting. A psychological study was done decades ago where a bunch of real scientists (not the hacks we have today on Yahoo news) tested memory recall of people. Memory recall of big events were not any more accurate than memory recall of smaller, less significant events. If anything, it may be worse. It may seem more accurate and vivid to the subject, but it's only because those larger events get more frequent airtime in their brains, so whatever memories (false or true) are easier to access.
With that in mind, I take any media stories over the Vegas deal with a grain of salt until an official police report comes out. That may take a lot of time. There's no point in speculating until then.
Where is the hotel surveillance video !!!!!!!!!

Re: Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Active Shooter
1) I read an article that the guard was unarmed. If he had a gun, he could have ended it before it started. MGM policy for guards is NO WEAPONS - no mace, club, gun , taser etc.
2) MGM will now call security to any room that has a Do Not Disturb sigh for more than 12 hours. I suppose that they will then storm your room with SWAT and you will never be heard of again, going with the whole "stays in Vegas" thing...!
2) If this happened 6 minutes before the shooting started, what caused the guard to go to the room?

Re: Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Active Shooter
Hate to say it, but im sure a good handfull of "injuries" are just to be part of the lawsuit as well....Keith B wrote:Many of the injured were actually from falling, twisted ankles/knees, being trampled, etc. I have only seen 2-3 people interviewed that actually had GSW's.Charles L. Cotton wrote:I have looked for this information, but cannot find it anywhere. I suspect that the "500 casualties" are not all from GSW and I suspect that less than have are from gunfire.BBYC wrote:Have the revealed yet how many GSW and how many stampede injuries and deaths?
Chas.
Hopefully those numbers will come to the surface as more details are released.

My money is on this.philip964 wrote:Sure does not fit the background of a mass shooter.
His brother said he was a multimillionaire former accountant, turned real estate investor. Like to gamble was a high roller at the casino. So the room could have been comped.
What if he was abducted by persons unknown, because he had the room they needed.
They set up the cameras so they knew exactly when to fake his suicide. Afterwards went into adjoining room and slipped out in first responders uniforms.
This took a lot of planning, a lot of time. This wasn't luck. Some of this guys friends would have noticed some change in him. Snapping to do this does not account for all the time and preparation.
