I would never leave my gun in the car where I would be gone for more than a couple of minutes. This includes places like restaurants, movie theaters, shopping centers, gyms, golf courses - anywhere where a potential thief would have ample time to break in. I sure wouldn't be seen placing anything in the trunk of my car when I arrive at a destination, either. There are thieves out there who sit and watch for people locking things up in their trunk knowing they have value.
