Re: Not watching the Superbowl
To be fair, you don’t want someone to be able to out run the dogs, they would become discouraged, and give up. Kapernick, couldn’t get out of his own way, that’s why he was relegated to third string, on a very sub par team.
Just seeing the name on the jersey, would fill the dogs with confidence. The only thing better would be to have a Michael Vick Jersey, worn by Michael Vick with no padding. JMHO

Re: Not watching the Superbowl
Maybe it’s just me thinking outside the box, but what law, requires that The Star Spangled Banner be played before the start of sporting events?
Why can’t they just come out, meet for the coin flip and get ready for concussion protocols? There would be nothing for the Marxist to protest about. No one would have to worry about, standing, kneeling, or anything else. Save it for patriotic get together where those who truly love this country, can meet, and show her the proper respect. JMHO

Companies that promote actions that run contrary to my family's values, will not be companies we support.
We've gotten our Sundays back, as a family and that's been a great thing.
As far as I know, I don't own anything made by Nike, nor any NFL gear. I think my wife and son may have some Nike t-shirts. I Have never been one to buy something, that I feel is overpriced, just for the sake of giving a company free advertising. I realize, that by not purchasing something, I wouldn't have purchased, in the first place, does nothing to harm anyone's bottom line. By not tuning in to watch, the NFL (I was a huge Cowboys fan) it gives me free time, that I had forgotten I had. We go out to eat after church, maybe go shopping, or just spend time talking, that we didn't do while the games were on, in the past.
As I said, I seriously, doubt, that Nike, or the NFL, (and others such as Dick's, YETI, Levi's etc) will be harmed, by my lack of contribution, but, as flechero, said, I have to decide, what products, services, and companies, align with my values, and act accordingly, or I would be a hypocrite. USA Today article on NFL kneeling today.
Nike Campaign successful.
Colin needs to be playing.
Sure hope come November there are a lot more of us than the non-nationalists
Stills said he would consider stopping if former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who began kneeling in 2016 as a means to protest racial inequality and police brutality, and former 49ers safety Eric Reid were signed by an NFL team.
So they are not kneeling in protest of racial inequality, now, they are just trying to get a third rate QB, and an overrated safety, a job in the NFL. How will that make this country better? How will that end racism? These are just a bunch of self serving elitists, who believe that being an athlete, entitles, them, to special considerations.
No one is owed a job. No one, took a knee for me, when I was looking for work. I haven't watched, an NFL game, since last year, and I have't missed it. Don't suspect, I'll miss it any more this year. JMHO

Re: Not watching the Superbowl
I am not a moderator, but it looks like, there are some in this thread who may getting dangerously close to having posts deleted, and possibly banned. I realize, that Nike's advertising, using Kapernick, is a polarizing issue, but lets not forget, that we represent the sane people. Personal, attacks, and potentially racist, interjections are not why we have have this forum.
Buy Nike's, don't buy Nike's, the whole discussion, is not worth dividing us. We can all express our opinions, but if we disagree, that's ok too. JMHO

Re: Not watching the Superbowl
I think their biggest losses will come in declining sales. Doesn't Nike make milspec boots and shoes? I don't know if they have any military contracts, but if they do, those will probably be going away soon.
Now would be the time for Reebok, New Balance, Under Armour, etc. to come out with patriotic advertising, with military vets, police, firefighters, etc, as spokespersons.
Nike may still get the BLM, and other SJW business, but the backlash has been tremendous. JMHO

Colin Kaepernick is the new face of Nike. Cost them 4 billion in stock value.
Oh great a new brand to boycott.
I'm thinking a former nike marketing director is looking for work!!
Never bought nike anyway, but now I won't even be tempted to look at their products.
