That's great!! I always love Irony, My wife and I both own M&P 9's and that was one of the first questions she asked me after getting hers home was where is the safety?
When I explained it to her and she got to shoot it, along with a Beretta, and a friends 1911, she said hers was easier to shoot because she didn't have to remember to disengage the safety.
