Re: Sen. Graham announces red flag legislation

Senator Graham needs to be reminded that he swore solemn oath to defend the constitution as written against all enemies foreign and domestic. Anyone who would give up essential liberties for the illusory promise of temporary safety or other benefit deserves neither. Giving away parts of the constit...

Re: San Marcos city council moves to ban carry at meetings

I guess they didn’t learn their lesson with the Hays County government building. They are not making the city buildings 06/07, just posting all open city meeting while in progress. That is allowed. The resolution will be considered at tomorrow's meeting. Just trying to give a heads up. What am I mi...

Re: list of successful chl self-defense?

I checked the forum rules to make sure it was okay to post this. If I missed something, delete and let me know. If you are on Reddit, there is a subreddit called r/dgu. That stands for defensive gun use. There are a ton of articles posted every day of incidents of defensive gun use. If you ever need...

Re: For those who may still be buying Nike

So I need a new pair of sneakers. I have always bought Nike shoes because I have extremely narrow feet, and they are the only brand that I've been able to find that run narrow enough to fit my feet. I just finished having to find a new brand of pants, as I was wearing Levi's for the past few years a...

Re: For those who may still be buying Nike

To my foreign eyes, it seems to me that "the flag" is simply printed/embroidered/whatever onto clothing - as opposed to someone being clothed in a flag. This is exactly correct. It's commonly misunderstood to mean that you can't wear anything with the american flag on it, and that's just ...

Re: New Shoot Point Blank in Arlington

It's my new favorite range. Very close to my house, and the staff has all been really friendly. They have a full fledged gun store and offer several training courses. They have 20 lanes, with 10 for handguns and 10 for long guns. There is a RSO on the range at all times. I've been nothing but impres...

Re: TX: brass knuckles, kitty keychain etc ban lifted...

I'm an ASP instructor (from my LEO days). Would sure be nice to carry one like the executive bodyguards carry as a non-lethal weapon (even though it can be lethal in the wrong hands). <MP> Is the risk of lethality primarily from hitting someone in the head, or are there other areas that can be dead...

Re: TX: brass knuckles, kitty keychain etc ban lifted...

I would love to carry a collapsible baton in locations where I can't carry my gun. If I had to defend myself without a firearm, I would much rather do so with a baton than a knife.

Re: Bonnen Walks out on GOP Dinner... had words with McNutt

I don't know much about what went on at the dinner. However, you can watch the body cam footage of McNutt going by Bonnen's house. Just search "Police body cam footage chris mcnutt dennis bonnen house" on youtube and it should come up. I think it was uploaded by someone we don't care for, ...

Glock 19.4 MOS slide

So I'm thinking of putting a red dot on my Glock 19 Gen 4. I found a lot of aftermarket RMR cut slides, but I'd really like a factory MOS slide so that I have more options for optics. It seems silly to buy a whole new gun just for a different slide, but I can't seem to find factory slides sold separ...

Re: Do you ever open carry?

You will get several that say they conceal so they have a tactical advantage of surprise. :banghead: Surprise has never been considered a defensive strategy. If you have to SURPRISE someone they already have you covered w/ a deadly weapon. :fire Surprise is offensive. Surprise the enemy in ambush. ...

Re: RE: What would you do if you saw his gun?

I'm actually really shocked that there are some here who would demand to see a license from someone in this scenario. I'm more shocked that some would not allow a tradesman to carry in their home. I believe everyone should have the right to carry a gun, with very few exceptions. Far fewer exceptions...

Re: How to check if a premise is 51%?

:fire I'm at Hooters in Stafford, Tx. I walked in and noticed the 30.06 sign above the doors for my first time. I'm sure it's been there but never noticed. I looked around for a 51% sign which there is not one.... So what does one do in this situation? OPEN CARRY! I hate to open carry but ya know, ...

Re: What Is Your Opinion

Looks like a compliant sign to me. I would definitely shop elsewhere. I might disarm, go in, ask for a manager, and politely let him know why he won't see me again while that sign is on the door.
