Thanks!

I stand corrected.

What I posted came from a forum member who stated his nephew is a WM mgr. and his nephew stated they'd only be asking for an LTC is the OCer was not acting normal.

Now, I wonder if WM mgmt. has decided in all their stores to make the greeters automatically check for LTC if one OC's.

Given your experience, I guess one might or might not be asked for LTC if OCing.

It wouldn't bother me. I'd proudly whip it out.

I feel sympathy for the poor greeter having to do this as I suspect not everyone will be polite and kind about it and a whole lot of greeters are elderly and/or handicapped.
I posted about my nephew. The document he was issued did not authorize greeters to card at the door. I know he is not doing this in his store. Maybe some stores are interpreting it differently.

I would think the liability of possibly exposing some yahoo who is illegally carrying and armed by the unarmed possibly elderly greeter would be an unwise position for wm to take.

Re: walmart asking for chl

The next time you're in the meat section try to figure out where it comes from.

To each their own I just stated it gave me another reason to shop there.

That will now be impossible in any grocery store meat dept. In dec congress repealed the law that allowed meat dept to put country of origin labels on meat. The WTO decided that was not going to fly and impose tariffs on US products so the tags come off.

I buy my meat locally so sticker or not I know what goes into my families stomachs!

Re: walmart asking for chl

It seems to me that Walmart is a supporter of 30.06 and 30.07 demonstrated by the pages of people who have open carried there with no issues.

The article is not accurate and if I were anti gun id write this same kind of article so that irritated chl holders make there opinions known to wm corporate who might just say to hell with it then no more carry.

My nephew telling me what they told him is hearsay I suppose. How many pages of first hand posts are up stating no issues carrying in Walmart stores? I'll believe those posts over some random story published on the Internet.

I guess i think of it like if i was carrying some paid for merchandise around (drink, whatever) and they asked if I purchased it... I would show my receipt, less they think I stole it and call LE. This feels analogous to me...
The article states that if the door greeter or cashier sees someone open carrying they are to notify the "highest ranking employee" (the acting manager) to confirm the legal status. :tiphat:
My nephew is a store manager at WM so I asked him about it. This article is leaving out ALOT of language. He said greeters and walmart cashiers will not ask anyone to see their CHL in the store. What he did say is that if someone in the store openly carrying display some sort of odd, unruly behavior they will alert the management who may approach and ask for the CHL, if they refuse and will not return the firearm to there car they are to diffuse the situation and leave the person and someone will call LEO.

For what its worth.
