Being legal and 100% in the right sometimes has little to do with needing to hire an attorney. Even though it's expensive, if you get the right one, it is usually money well spent. Sometimes on this board we hear from people who don't know if they have been arrested or whether they have deferred adjudication, etc. I often wonder if these people had legal representation and had things explained to them by their lawyer.
