Is that more then the amount of flatulentce coming out of Maxine "the Wig" Waters?BHill wrote:crazy2medic wrote:Just a FYI, this thing generates 142 psi of overpressure, that is 1,308,672 psi in a 4'×8' area!
Not sure your math is correct. 48*96*142 = 652,336 pounds and remains 142 psi regardless of square inches. Still a tremendous amount.

Re: MOAB
Do they include vaporized jihadis in the death count?
Re: MOAB
The way I see it, if ordnance such as this saves one American life that otherwise would have been lost in cqb within those stinking tunnels and caves, then it's money well spent.
Better then giving it to "Planned Parenthood" etc.

Stop bragging...Noggin wrote:Hmm some people have short memories when it comes to bombing history.
How about a 22,000lb bomb from WW2
Of course the Grand Slam (Big brother of the earlier 12,000lb Tallboy) was a deep penetration bomb rather than a blast bomb. It was too big to fully fit into the bomb bay so they had to remove to bomb doors to carry it
This one is fatter! Like that pimple headed fat dictator in NK who's about to get his present.
Re: MOAB
This is a nice summary of the potential:
"1: Laser guided and parachuted down onto the Crossroads of The World, the MOAB would technically explode as an airburst weapon, albeit from six-feet and not thousands, like a nuclear bomb.
The fireball radius would be 300-feet, incinerating every person and obliterating Times Square's famous jumbotrons and billboards.
2: As the bomb ignites the alumimum dust and nearly 19,000 pounds of explosives a shock wave sucks the air from another 160-feet of prime Manhattan real estate and destroying Broadway. Concrete buildings are severely damaged and fatalities are also close to 100 percent here.
3: The dissapated air blast continues on for another 300-feet, damaging more residential buildings and causing injury to anyone caught up in the blast and more fatalities.
4: People up to 330-feet away from Ground Zero would suffer 3rd degree burns and some would suffer the loss of their limbs."
I'd love to see the full damage report, but of course, it's classified and such...
