Out of state Texas CHL now in state?

Question.... I have a Texas CHL that I received when I live out of state. I used my out of state drivers license(Oklahoma) to receive my Texas CHL. I am now a Texas resident, with a Texas state Drivers license. My CHL has my Oklahoma license info on it still. How do I go about changing the DL/ID on ...

Re: Change of Address question...

Why is the fee so large ? Why do they ask for employer information ? Driver License change fee is $11 Thanks to this thread for reminding me to change mine When I changed my address, I saw the fee, then saw the Texas.gov fee below it. I originally believed that the renewal fee and the Texas.gov fee...

Re: Change of Address question...

Good to know, thanks everyone. Was't really worried about getting my new CHL in a rush, more worried about whether i was good to carry with my DL and my CHL not having matching addresses. Good to know I will be fine. Thanks everyone.

If so, can i still carry ion my CHL that I have now with my previous address? How long does it take to receive a new ...

Re: Gun purchase using CHL only, without a license?

Thank you everyone for your help. I was able to purchase a P239 yesterday using my CHL and my passport at a reputable dealer here in Texas. I have spoken with 3 seperate CHL instructors that teach mostly military, I have spoken to a local police officer and I spoke with 2 State Troopers, all of whic...

Re: Gun purchase using CHL only, without a license?

That sounds complicated. I don't know the answer to the question for sure, but if OK is actually your state of residence you may not be able to take possession of a handgun bought here in Texas. What do the experts think? Yeah, I was thinking that, but since my CHL has my Texas address on it, and y...

Re: Gun purchase using CHL only, without a license?

I am no longer Military, but my wife is finishing up her career here. Our family is stationed here for now, too much work to change my license every time we move, and as a Veteran, I have schooling benefits waiting for me when we return to OK, but I have to maintain my residency there. Texas does no...

Re: Gun purchase using CHL only, without a license?

Thanks everyone. I actually reside in Texas, but I have an Oklahoma drivers license. I guess the only way to find out if I can purchase just using CHL is to try, my CHL has the physical address I live at here in Texas.

Gun purchase using CHL only, without a license?

So, I have my Texas CHL with my Texas address on it. My drivers license is from Oklahoma. My question is: Can I purchase a gun from a shop here in Texas using my CHL only, and not needing a drivers license? Or, do I need 2 forms of Texas id cards to purchase a handgun?

Re: Website Change!

Plastic arrived today. Went to the mailbox looking for a Christmas card that my inlaws swear they sent last week and found my plastic in there instead. One day after Christmas, and 4 days after the website changed for me. Nice late Christmas gift from the Texas Dept of Public Safety!!! Had my NC CHL...
