I pat myself down just before locking the car up and have caught a pocketknife on my person several times. It's such a part of my normal gear it's easy to forget.

And before packing any bag I feel compelled to completely empty it, feel all pockets, etc so I don't pull a Barry Switzer at the airport.

I can't tell if I'm a just an indoctrinated former Eagle Scout*, a paranoid, or borderline OCD. :-)

* Not that my Eagle status has been revoked or anything, it's just been 20yrs since that particular ceremony. Maybe it's like the Marines where you're always an Eagle Scout. Semper Firepit?

Right. It's not like terrorists would ever go to airports. Oh, wait....

Well, at least it's not a burglar's paradise with lots of unattended motor vehicles left in parking areas for unspecified amounts of time. Man....

At least we can say that there are no people wandering around with valuables, luggage, and lots of traveling money in their wallets.... I just can't win today.
