Re: Hold over/under question
So yes, if you are shooting down and your rifle is sighted in for say 300yards then your going to have to aim low. With the data given (350 yards and 80ft lower) there is no need to hold for an adjustment like that. If it was 350 YARDs down and 80 yards out from your position then you might see a cr...

It's a deal I would take. You have to want the gun a bit. Some people have a hard time with the double action to the single action.

Re: Honest using rifle/ truck rifle ?
The M44 sounds like a good option to me. I really think you have to justify how much money you are comfortable with throwing out vs how far of a shot you will commonly have to take. If funds were limitless my truck gun would be a Barret 50bmg, but instead it's a marlin 30-30. Hahaha

Re: Glock or Sig
It's my opinion that the p320 is a better gun out of the box. The trigger is a lot nicer. With that the Glock guns have a much larger fan base, contributing to more aftermarket parts. So to me the real question is do you want a gun or a project. Once again don't take it the wrong way, project are fu...

Re: Recommendations for combat pistol as well as a carry gun
State Troopers put a lot of these through their testing when they started shopping for a new gun for their Troopers. The Sig P320 came out on top. From my experience you have to put money (3.5 pound disconnect and night sights at least) into a glock to get it as good as a P320.

Re: Leave your firearm at home during vacation?
I have 3 kids. I do not go anywhere without a gun. Show your kids the gun, take the mystery out of it. I put it in a 7360 SLS/ALS holster on the nightstand. I can work that holster in my sleep. Never had a problem. Can agree anymore. The mystery of it cause more problems then anything. My 4 yr old ...

DDI AK
So has anyone seen a DDI AK in the Fort Worth area? Any of the stamped models would be fine. Im pretty sure this is what I want and was really wanting to handle one before I bought one and had it shipped in. If anyone has bought one of these and picked it over the CAI RAS 47 or any other AK I would ...

Re: Red Dot Magnifiers - Please School Me
Yes, the AR is supper easy to go from set ups meant to shoot from 6 inches to 600 meters. But if you actually start having to carry it around then you start looking away from cool factor and start looking a weight and bulk and your weapon and what you put on it. So the combo of eotech and magnifier...

Re: Why a 1911?
So I carried a Berretta M9 for the 10 in the Marine Corps and shot a lot with it. The times that I was not in uniform I had a Glock 23 and shot it a lot until I got married and no longer had any of my own money or time. What I shot best was and still is a single action on that M9 and when you want a...

Re: Why a 1911?
Everyone has their preferences. I personally think the polymer, striker fire type guns are...well...ugly. But then again, looks aren't everything. There are lots of striker fire guns that are good guns. The on-going "rivalry" between 1911s and striker fire (specifically Glock) is mostly a...
