Re: Taurus Slim
If nothing else, maybe this plus the PPS will convince Glock to get off the fence and make a single stack 9mm/.40-cal super-sub-compact (basically a slim Baby Glock). As an aside, Glock makes "small" guns (a .380 for instance), they just can't import them to the US because of the "po...

Re: Does this mean Im good to carry????
And actually you are still breaking the law. The revision does not eliminate the requirement to show your CHL, just that if you fail to do it there is no penalty. I wonder if they could detain you until you show them the license. That could mean if you were only showing approved on the website/data...

Re: Does this mean Im good to carry????
With September 1st fast approaching, I wouldn't hesitate to carry under MPA if I didn't have my CHL in my possession. (IANAL & YMMV) Mea Culpa SECTION 2. Sections 411.187(a) and (c), Government Code, are amended to read as follows: (a) A license may be suspended under this section if the licens...

Re: Anyone watch DDD on the Food Channel?
I get mine at Kohl's and Walmart for under $15 dollars each (on sale, 20-25 regular price) and they're nice enough to wear to work in a professional office or out to dinner at a casual dining place. Monte Carlo and A[x]IST are the brands I own the most of. They look a lot like the ones Guy wears or ...

Re: Open carry in San Diego
There's lots of open carry in Southern California. None of its legal, and its mostly BGs shooting each other, but there's LOTS of carry there. Unloaded open carry is perfectly legal throughout California, according to state law. It is huge risk to have an unloaded gun when a BG would pull a firearm...

Re: 3006 sign at Houston Convention Center?
Seriously they rifle thru her purse? Just tell them no guns or ammo and walk by. Kinda silly to search considering what you can buy 15 feet away. Every. single. time. I sure wish someone would just ignore the order to open their purse and become the test case for the activity but, I can assure you,...

Re: 3006 sign at Houston Convention Center?
You can walk past the sign, but the police officers are likely to ask if you have a weapon or ammunition on you. Depending on your answer and your attitude, the situation could get sticky. They're always too busy rifling through my wife's purse to ask me anything. At least, that's been the case the...

Re: 2010 Legislative Wish List
How about a law rescinding the "duty to inform" and one that allows me to carry a concealed handgun without the physical license in my possession at the time of carry? Also, I would like to the "training class" go away and the fees for a license lowered to something a bit more re...

Re: 3006 sign at Houston Convention Center?
They are always posted. I empty mine in the RR and open carry once they tie wrap it (inside the show). Stop in the RR and reload on your way out. (quietly)I dont chamber it, just cut the tie and put the mag back in. I know they are always posted but, I was wondering if it was binding since Texas la...

Re: 3006 sign at Houston Convention Center?
Are you referring to the George R. Brown Convention Center? It is city property. It would not be posted unless some operator (like a gun show) posts a sign for a specific event. Enjoy your visit. If you have some spare time, you might want to visit Discovery Green . - Jim Out of curiousity, if the ...

Re: problem with gun in the car while at work
i'll just saw a few inches off my home defender , its already got a pistol grip on it  I hope you're kidding. If you're not PLEASE DON'T do it. You can manufacture a short barrel shotgun BUT you MUST have an approved form 1 in your possession BEFORE beginning the work . So, get a form 1 (whic...

Re: problem with gun in the car while at work
is'nt that shotty just shy of being legal ? :confused5 but it sure looks mean  In Texas you can own an AOW shotgun (under 18" barrel length or 26" overall) if it is registered pursuant to the NFA. Which is why I stated it was an AOW and would require the tax be paid. (10) "Shor...

Re: problem with gun in the car while at work
I carry in one of these: http://www.comp-tac.com/product_info.php?products_id=95" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and the slide doesn't contact my skin. Maybe you should consider a different holster? Also, depending on your carry method, on the body, at the waist line, in any...
