Re: The war with Iran

Besides Rand Paul, were there any elected officials who objected to Obama killing an American citizen on foreign soil with a drone?

This stuff bothers me. Flight 800, Epstein's murder. The lies around the Viet Nam war.
Can we trust a liar? If a government lies and rules us, Are we the servants of our government or does the government serve us?
We are becoming servants of the government. The people in government are more interested in power and money than doing the right thing for the country. The Congress is a millionaire's club and once you are in the club, staying in is the most important thing. Why else would anyone object to Trump killing this thug in Iraq? The whole world knows Iran pays terrorist to do its dirty work. Trump does something about it and he's the bad guy? Only because he disrupts those who want to stay in power.

I was in Iraq in 2003-2004 as a contractor. I know people who were blew up and one that is still missing to this day that was a result of the insurgency that started in late 2003 early 2004. We knew back then it was Iran providing funding and support for the IED's. Our government's solution, put more armor on the vehicles. I was surprised to read the other day that al-Sadr is still alive. He killed many of our soldiers and more than a few contractors and the Bush administration did nothing about him. Obama did nothing about him. Now he's become so entrenched in the Iraqi government, it would really hit the fan if a missile went in his keister but I'm sure many soldiers would twist a lid to his demise.

Exactly old wiring running through a fuel tank.
And we know this how? I’m not saying you’re wrong, but given the situation at the time, that would be a heck of a coincidence.
I would take that as sarcasm or tongue in cheek. That plane was only 3 years old. Engines go out, or fly apart leading to damage that might bring a plane down but it is a rarity. Planes don't explode in the air unless hit with a missile or a bomb detonation on board.
