Re: Expungement & Re-application Question
Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I've since received a full PARDON (with reinstatement of firearms rights), from the Arkansas Governor's office. I'd applied for it over a year ago and had just about given up hope. Last month I recieved a voicemail from the Governor's attorney, stating that my pardo...

Expungement & Re-application Question
Im finally looking into re-applying for my CHL. If Im interpreting HB3987 correctly I shouldn’t have any issues this time (my conviction was over 10 years ago - in addition to having been expunged). So my question is: Should I disclose the information about my conviction if I decide to re-apply, or ...

Re: How SEALs Carried Out Their Mission
I recieved this email from a coworker (retired Marine), a few days after the standoff ended. This is not in Snopes. The source to me is generally reliable. Considering the time (4 days) it took to resolve the situation, this account is credible. Subject: AH, now it comes out Having spoken to some SE...

Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?
Bexar Appraisal District has 30.06 signs posted at all entrances.
The only one posted in both English & Spanish is on the front entrance - there are signs on the locked "employee only" back doors that have 30.06 verbage, but not in both languages.

Re: Expungement Delimma - Update
Also, hypothetically... what would be my legal situation for actually owning/being in possession of a firearm?
... since I technically was convicted of a felony (which was later expunged)?
...are you beginning to see what a giant mess I've created for myself?

Re: Expungement Delimma - Update
Thanks for all the good advice guys... I'm definately taking this slow and cautious, I don't want to mess this situation up any more than it already is. I've been getting conflicting messages from all sides - my original attorney in Arkansas, The Arkansas Governor's office, the instructor of my CHL ...

Re: Expungement Delimma - Update
Even if the final disposition is Not Guilty, would a letter showing the disposition still be in order? The arrest and entry into the federal criminal history has been entered; therefore when DPS checks for criminal activity the arrest will still show. Thats what I was was thinking too... I even ask...

Re: Expungement Delimma - Update
It sounds like you're almost there. Did they give you any paperwork that showed the Not Guilty status or No Record? Or do you plan to reapply and not list it? Since the DPS already has a record of that, it seems like it would raise a red flag on a new application. I dont know... Im still a little a...

Re: Help needed with background check question.
Thanks guys! I went ahead with some advice and called the DPS line and they said to not even mention it. Since it was expunged, DPS cannot look at the arrest or the conviction at all and said not to worry about it. You guys are great and thanks for the help. This newbie will be sticking around for ...

Does anyone have any experience with this stuff?... Some guys from one of my other forums swear by it. Ballistol http://www.firehawktech.com/b%5Efirearms.asp copied from the website... Ballistol was invented in 1904 in response to a German Army requirement. it was engineered to be usable on all meta...
