3/7 everything submitted,
3/11 re submitted paperwork to manager.
4/14 status change
4/21 waiting for plastic
It feels like the wait since my status change to time in my mailbox is the longest part of the wait. I live in Houston and it's been 5 business days (7 total).
out of curiosity how long was your wait in the mail?

It took me 31 days for status change after submitting mine to a manager. Now I'm waiting for this little guy to show up in the mail.
I hope yours goes a bit faster.

Re: March 2015
3/11 submitted all papers and DD-214.
4/10 status update. Waiting for plastic.
Honestly I feel like that's not too bad considering some of the other story's I've read on here.
I do hold a security clearance, and submitted a DD214 with my application.
I don't know why but @SitTexasSir, you are right it will slow things down, especially the DD214,it took them about 10-11 days to verify that before they started the federal background check.
I'm just feeling better knowing that it will arrive in a week or so. After having a CCW permit in other states I felt naked in my home state upon returning from the service.

Re: March 2015
What do you mean by it slows it down because of the FBI check first?

Re: March 2015
I called today after emailing my DD214 and CHL 100 and receiving email confirmation both times. Today they said they still didn't have them. Some other members have posted about emailing a manager their documents here in the forum so I asked if I could do that. The First Lady said no, just mail in the papersTo us, so I called back and spoke to another woman who gave me her supervisors email after I explained my situation to her.
I sent the manager my papers and got a prompt response. This afternoon I called back and they said they had received all my required documentation including the fingerprints and my application is going in to processing.
I would have been pretty bummed if a month had gone by and I had just went off of the confirmation emails!
What a Jumbled process compared to getting a Virginia resident permit.

Re: March 2015
Did yall call after submitting your papers to see if they actually got them? I'm thinking about doing that today.
Infantrymac, sorry to hear about the DD214, I wonder how they get some stuff through online submission and yet loose some.
