Where is this written? I hear it now and then, but I've never seen a law that says you can only shoot at night.

And... they aren't moving them all, just some of them. The commissioner's court, which he names in his original letter is not being moved.

Re: 30.06 Ruling Letters

There's an update on McLennan... but it's missing the critical info... -Mike- ps, here it is. Sounds like the AG doesn't follow the law either! I'm not surprised. http://www.wacotrib.com/news/mclennan_county/ag-to-permit-mclennan-county-courthouse-gun-ban-with-planned/article_9a7be5fe-daeb-5d3c-9e50...

Lol! Good point! We're not even talking about the same app. The one I have is called "legal heat". Not sure if it's better or worse.

Mike

Ps, After briefly looking at ccw law, legal heat looks more up to date and detailed. YMMV.

Re: LA Laws

Yes, I have the app. Doesn't help find the small signs though. Apparently, any sign or text will do. I have to assume that there's a reasonable expectation... Can't make it 1/8 inch or something. Bottom line, Shreveport is not very carry friendly.

LA Laws

Just left a mall in Shreveport. I checked carefully on the way it... no signs. Left by another door and there's a gun buster sign. I believe that's legal posting in la. Texas laws are much more reasonable! BUT... I haven't had training in la laws, just a quick web search.

oh well...

I'm sure it's the federal law, right after the one that doesn't allow guns in banks or places that sell alcohol. :headscratch

Re: TML Q&A

As I read the document The section "Can a city prohibit firearms in a city building or facility?" has two sub-headings... "Concealed or Open Handgun Carry by Handgun License Holder" and "Firearms in General" I think they intended the second heading to be for non-chl hol...

I didn't catch that either. That makes me feel a little better, but I still feel that the law is very clear. They might not like it, but they are supposed to enforce it.

Re: Driving to upstate New York

Can NY residents travel with guns? If they can, have one of your family members meet you at the border and let them carry it in their vehicle for you. Yes, but only their own guns. A pistol license in NY lists your firearms, and those are the only ones allowed in you possession. Anytime you buy a n...

Re: Driving to & Visiting In CT & MD From Texas

When I lived in NY (State, not the city) you had to have a permit just to own a pistol. If you PCSed in, the military base there would store your handguns in the armory and you could not get them out until you were licensed (much more difficult) or PCSed again. Not sure if that's changed, but like t...
