Meanwhile, I'll be carrying at DFW on Monday when I drop my 17 year old daughter off for a flight to Atlanta. And whether anyone at DFW likes it really doesn't concern me.

I am sure many like you will carry in the Airport and many will have no problem at all. Even I carry at DFW when I go to pick up my wife when she travels, but some will find themselves at security calling for help all be it very few I am sure. If its worth the the chance of being escorted to security and your weapon removed and the time and trouble to get it back for a 15 minutes of not having it on you? Not to me mine will stay in my truck if I get out and enter the terminal you and others may do as you wish I don't care I am just saying that it can be real can of worms if you get made and reported.
