Ok, since I have gotten my CHL I have decided to open carry on my property and in the house. I find that without it now I feel naked. The wife has gotten. Used to it and no longer even notices. She finds herself when things are going on that don't seem right she now throws me a look, and I nod. It's funny how your life changes when you are able yo carry...
I even found ways yo nap in my holster. I have ordered a holster from Hopp and I am hopping that is will be even more comfortable.

One day I will be able to call mine a Gun Collection, but for now I have some ugly guns I would never put in that category.
I WISH THEY WERE AS NICE AS GLOCKS!!!!
The way that I first looked at it when I got back from Germany for 12 years was I needed tools on a budget. I don't buy the prettiest hammer, I buy the one I can afford. With that being said, I am starting to upgrade! (NOT TO GLOCKS)

Re: Carry 'around the house'?
You said it.... I was thinking it. I too have 2 large dogs with territorial issues as well and a cache of weapons within the confines of my home... I do however carry on my property once I leave the threshold of the door. (Back or Front yard)myntalfloss wrote:It's heavy.RJS wrote:Why wouldn't you?
It's cumbersome.
It constricts movement.
Makes my pants tight (I'm working on the other reason my pants are tight)
Same reason I don't carry my cell phone in the house.
I don't even wear shoes in the house. I put them on when going outside to protect my feet from nails, hot concrete etc.
I have adequate sight lines and a 76lb Lab/Pit mix with territorial issues who will be glad to show you the errors of your way should you decide to kick in my front door.
I also have four guns concealed and secured with magnets within arm's reach throughout the house which I consider an appropriate precaution.
Just answering the question.
My $0.02.....
