Re: SB11 Campus Carry House Floor Debate 5/26/15
Who were the 5 or 6 RINOs who earlier today voted against extending deadline into tomorrow?

Probably not as long a shot as a Special Session from the Gov...

Re: SB11 Campus Carry House Floor Debate 5/26/15
Respectfully disagree.
IMHO, lying politicians are the reason we are in this predicament.
And with voters denied the ability to recall these politicians, IMHO, all lawful & non-violent methods of protest are fair game.
Perhaps if Strauss/McRaven get wind of potential long arms carrying on college campuses for the next 2 years, maybe things will move a little faster for SB11 tonight...
Hope they're reading this...

Ya know, I like the way you think !
If the Gov does not call a special session, oc'ing long arms on college campuses sounds like: turnabout is fair play !
Hey, its 100% legal... and a great reason for me to purchase my first AR !

A quick search would seem to indicate that Texas state level elected officials can NOT be recalled.
Apparently, they are relatively immune for their actions. And I guess they are fully aware of this, and know where they have us.

I seem to remember that a bunch of average Joe's, with no political experience, and no money, were able to recall two state legislators in Colorado, and force a third to resign in lieu of being recalled.

Re: SB11 Campus Carry House Floor Debate 5/26/15
When you can speak freely, I really am interested in understanding why SB11 wasn't amended to HB910 in the full Senate.
We wouldn't be here now, if they did.

Or...
those Senators who refused to allow SB11 to be amended to HB910, because they "trusted" Strauss

The fact that the House had the Senate bills (SB 11 and SB 17) for nearly 2 months before they did anything with them points very squarely to the Strauss (Calendars Committee appointed by Strauss, overseen by Strauss) as the source of much of the issue. What should have been a stellar year for 2A bills winds up being pretty underwhelming. The biggest positive I see coming out of this session is the passage of SB 273 by both houses. Finally some teeth to stop governmental entities from posting unenforceable 30.06 signs!

I dunno...
Bend over and hold our ankles?
Find out who in the Senate prevented SB11 from being added as an amendment to HB910?

Re: SB11 Campus Carry House Floor Debate 5/26/15
Let the finger-pointing begin...
Who was it that stopped SB11 from being added as an amendment to HB910 in the full Senate, because there was a "commitment" that the House would pass SB11?
