Although plausible, I think this could be dicey especially if it is realized what you are doing...Almost an invitation to get "capped". I say dial 911, toss the phone out of sight and hope the GPS does its thing.davlanders wrote:I know that people like the saying "when seconds count, the police are only minutes away", but in this situation with all the above risks noted, I think the best solution would be to open your cell phone under the table and dial 911 as soon as you realize something is up. With out being noticed, try to announce your location and that the restaurant is being robbed. If they are robbing each table individually, they will certainly still be at it by the time the police get there if it's in a decent sized city and anywhere near the police station. There will likely be many many people in the restaurant doing this all at the same time. They won't notice all of them doing it, so couldn't possibly stop everyone from calling. This is of course assuming that they haven't started shooting.
Also of consideration, if these guys are taking wallets, how much risk will you be at handing over your wallet with a CHL in it? Could be another invitation to get shot. What if the guys frisk you and find your "conflict resolution tool"? Could be a death warrant for you. I think totality of the situation would determine what I would do. What it all boils down to is this...Do the actions of these guys lead me to believe that I won't be discovered as a CHL holder? Do I trust that if I comply with their demands that I will be safe? Do I have a means of escape without being discovered? The more of these questions that I answer "No" to, the more likely I am to draw.
