Good point about th DUI G-Ma.
I would not even dream of taking a narcotic painkiller and carry or drive for that matter. I have a CDL which has zero tolerance toward DUI whether you are in your personal vehicle or not; in other words, there is no legal limit for any impairing sbustance, alcohol or otherwise. You drive impaired and are caught, you lose your license. As a result, I tend to be very careful about taking even over the counter meds and driving.

Re: Dr. visit
Not rocephin this time but I've had one before...good stuff for an infection.Bevotex wrote:Glad to hear it went well. Although if you got rocephin I bet you walked out with a limp...That stuff is like syrup. Last one I got felt like a horse kicked me in the rear.
After the rocephin, I drove 3 miles to the pharmacy to pick up meds and when I got out of the truck I too did the "horse kick shuffle."

Dr. visit
I know this has been covered here before but I thought I would relay my experience.
I finally "bit the bullet" so to speak and went to a local clinic for a nagging cold yesterday. Carrying has become so natural that I feel naked without it and found myself going through "what if scenarios" in the waiting room anticipating the doctor's examination. I calmed down and decided that I would worry about "being made" if and when it happened.
The nurse did my vitals and is none the wiser. The doctor, not my regular by the way but one that I know, comes in and has me set on the table and lean forward as I do the breathing thing. Now at this point he is behind me and I know the butt (no not mine) is got to be printing like a neon sign as he does the stethoscope through my shirt. He is none the wiser or at least doesn't ackowledge anything...examination over, and he orders an injection.
The nurse comes in to give the injection, asks which hip, I say, "Left," and grasp my carry on the right as I drop the pants low enough for the injection. The nurse is none the wiser.
I honestly think neither one knew.
