Re: Residential Security Door Suggestions?
Outswing is a terrible idea. When no one is home a cordless grinder with a cutoff wheel and about 2 minutes and you have the hinges cut off and you are in the house. When you’re not home they could kick in an Inswinging door in 5 seconds so what’s your point? Besides, I’ve yet to read a news story ...

Re: .300 Blk heavy mold for subs
I know he was using it for 308 subs but not sure on his 300 blk. I do remember he had to set the bullet way back in the case to get then to feed correctly due to the round fat nose on them.

Re: Does Parking Lot Law also include adult and juvenile prisons
My aunt works at a state adult prison, from what she tells me every non employee car is searched and if a firearm is found you are not allowed past the gate at the highway even if you follow their policy of having it in a lockbox inside a locked vehicle. I asked about the legality and from what she ...

Re: .300 Blk heavy mold for subs
Friend of mine works up his own 300 blk loads, some use a 220-230 grain bullet, can't remember off the top of my head, and I think he uses trail boss powder a lot for his heavy sub loads. Gives high volume without too much pressure.

Went last year and it wasn't posted carried my xdm with no problems. On Saturday night it was way too crowded though probably a 6 hour wait for the hayride and lights.

Re: Must Barrell Ends Be Threaded To Accept A Suppressor?
Sitting on a deer stand right now, and if suppressors were to be deregulated the 270 that I have with me would have a can screwed on it. It wouldn't make it quiet but it might at least take a little of the bang out so my ears wouldn't ring the rest of the day after a shot.

Re: Best Gun for Home Defense
I’d be OK with pistol, AR, or shotgun, but my biggest fear is actually doing more damage to my hearing by discharging a gun inside my house, which is why my primary HD weapon has become a suppressed G17 loaded with 147 grain subsonics. All my ARs can also be suppressed, but they’re still a lot loud...

Re: Must Barrell Ends Be Threaded To Accept A Suppressor?
I do have an adapter for my 10/22 that slides over the barrel and has lock nuts behind the front sight that I have used with a friend's supressor. It has standard 1/2 x 28 threads on the adapter. I don't think I would trust it on anything more powerful than a 22 though. As for the glock you also hav...

Re: Best Gun for Home Defense
On the low percentage shot the limitation is real, I'd not likely take that shot no matter what I was armed with. I seriously doubt that the BG would be a nice still target while holding someone. As for the range with the buckshot I keep loaded range isn't an issue. I have killed deer with a 20 gaug...

New AR sight in
So I just got a new AR put together, I mounted a vortex red dot but haven't had time to sight it in yet. I have never had a red dot on anything yet, with a 4moa dot it should cover about 2 inches of target at 50 yards where I plan on sighting it for. What is an acceptable group for a red dot, I'm no...

Re: I Want to Build A Rifle.
I just put the optic on my build, used an Anderson lower I caught on sale for 30$, Anderson parts kit in the lower, I do plan on putting a Joe bob trigger kit in it to eliminate some of the creep. After that it has a radical 16" mid length upper I caught on sale around July 4 for 280$ complete ...

Re: BACK POCKET CARRY
I carried in my back pocket for 3 years pretty much every day, got used to it pretty fast but I did have to specifically buy pants that would fit it.i have a wallet holster that worked well. Now I work for an ISD so no more work carry. I still carry it running to the grocery store but on weekends I'...

15 and 17 aren't even really mellinials, they are whatever comes next. I'm technically a mellinial but I don't see myself as acting entitled and ignorant of the way the world works. I was on the very front end of the mellinials though. Also I drive a standard almost every day.

Re: Paul Harrell video regarding "hyper ammo"
I admit to not just shooting up my sd ammo on a whim. In his example of at a water bottle I might or might not shoot, a major factor would be whether or not i had ear protection with me. As far as round selection I carry 175gr critical duty in my 40 based on different tests I have seen. It feeds gre...
