Re: Texas Gun Lore
The Magna Carta granted rights to the barons, not the serfs. That's an important distinction. The Magna Carta was essentially a peace treaty between the king and rebellious nobles. It was a significant document in the context of the divine right of kings, and it had some relevance to free men who w...

Re: SB 17 about to go to the Senate Floor - Amendments?
It's a noble endeavor to honor and/or recognize everything under the sun. It sure takes up precious Senate time. Could this be some sort of "backdoor veiled attempt at a filibuster" to prevent needed legislation presented and debated on the floor? At the end of the session when the liars ...

Re: What are stores in Houston to sell or trade-sell firearm
IMHO, the BEST place to sell or trade your gun would be at the largest gun shows you can find. Carry it around with you alllllll day, and you'd be surprised at the amount of people coming up to you and asking if your gun is for sale and how much you want for it. I'm not surprised. A private sale is...

Duracoat Opinions
Does anyone have first hand experience with the new Duracoat aerosol cans? I used their original finish with separate color and hardener, applied it with an airbrush, and I'm very happy with the results. Now they have a spray can that combines everything in a single unit. It looks like it's a lot mo...

Re: Greg Abbott and OC
What is the counter-reasoning against changing that Chas? I am having trouble finding even a poor argument that I can reason past on this topic. Lowering the penalty for 30.05 would not help CHL. It would help people refusing to leave when a business manager or home owner tells them to leave. I don...

Can these be built as pistols? I would assume so but I know what happens when I assume.

Re: Your AR Pistols
i will be getting the sig brace gen2 in FDE once it becomes more available and a CAA grip also in FDE. Then, maybe im done.lol The ruling on the SIG Brace is what made me start considering an AR pistol as a serious tool instead of a range fun gun. The short barrel makes it a 100m gun but for urban ...

Re: Concealed Carry in Circuit of the Americas
I wanted to get opinions on a CHL holder carrying in the Circuit of the Americas F1 track this weekend. In looking at their Prohibited Items List, they list: "Weapons of any kind, including guns, knives, pepper spray, handcuffs, nightsticks or other items" http://circuitoftheamericas.com/...

Re: Private University LEOs
In the case of the Va Tech shooter armed students and professors makes more sense than militarized cops who show up after the fact. Absolutely right! These folks are the first responders and because of absurd state laws, they unarmed first responders. That's a recipe for disaster. It amazes me that...

Agreed! Beer and wine sale passed here in Rusk a half dozen years, or so, ago. The promised teen age wrecks, spouse abuse , divorces, etc., etc. never happened. Two years later, the sale of demon rum was on a ballot and approved by a majority of the voters. Rusk has a new Fire Engine, etc. from inc...

As a younger guy, I turned up my nose at opera. No longer... Yes, some opera is dreadful. So too, is some rock, country, fill in the blank... Look into opera, surprise yourself, you might find something you like. No no no, you have it wrong. The good stuff is at The Opr y . Well it for su...

Re: Dangerous Dogs and Use of Deadly Force
If you shoot someones dog they will take it as you shot their child and act accordingly. It wont matter to them if you were right or wrong either. These are the same people who always say "my dog would never be aggressive" " My dog would never hurt someone". Which is total bull....
