Re: Political Capital-Prohibited Places vs Constitutional Carry
:fire Heck, west Virginia governor veto a Cc bill and it was over ridden. Missouri the same thing. Democratic governors in both. In the last year alone...There is no reason in the world we as the people of this state should not expect this bill to sail through. None !!!!!! Texas, the gun friendly st...

Re: Political Capital-Prohibited Places vs Constitutional Carry
Charles, I thought I had responded already but guess I neglected to hit submit. I certainly can not say it "will" pass. But I do believe if the NRA fully supports it, it has a very good chance. And like I've said none if they don't.... Reasons that support that have been already stated by...

Re: Political Capital-Prohibited Places vs Constitutional Carry
There is absolutely no reason unlicensed carry can't pass in 2017.. Unless of course the NRA doesn't fully support it... Then it doesn't have much of a chance. Is it your position that unlicensed carry will pass if the NRA supports it? If so, please give us the basis for that opinion. Chas. Charles...

The reasons unlicensed carry didn't pass all had names. I will share two: Stickland, and Watkins. The actions of...

Re: Convince me that constitutional carry is a good thing
Constitutional carry in other states has more then doubled in what 2 years. Texas should be a leader in this. Went from something like 5 to 11. And if you factor in states that require no licence for OC, we are really put to shame on the liberty front.... No train, no fee, no problem. All these fear...

Re: LINKS Today's Bill Text etc
Dang, I didn't think they got started this early last time. HB282 needs to die early. Haven't finished reading these yet, but initially I like the ideas - http://www.legis.state.tx.us/tlodocs/85R/billtext/html/SB00093I.htm http://www.legis.state.tx.us/tlodocs/85R/billtext/html/HB00131I.htm Holding ...

Re: Poll: Stop and Frisk
I've never really thought much about "Stop and Frisk" as a policing tactic since I'm a non-LEO non-criminal non-political person. Upon hearing that Trump is promoting it, my gut reaction was "Uhoh, this is bad for Donald". Because of the constitutionality question, I have always...

Re: Is requiring a permit to carry constitutional?
Guess I don't look for a meaning for something that just is not there. Infringe= Limit Shall not be: that ones a little more difficult.... You would have to ask a Constitutional Scholar like our President on that one. He understands it no doubt but would redefine it in favor of licencing(limiting), ...

I agree that "I honestly don't know, except to say this is clearly unsettled and a real issue. It should, and very well could have been settled with the Huffines/Dutton amendment. I find the argument that it didn't have support dubious considering it passed both houses. " (nlyric) IMHO, p...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSFEfiCvFl0 I called [pre-paid legal] and talked to a lawyer and that is their view. They can stop, detain, and you will be required to produce chl/id. Because it is illigal in Tx to carry a handgun. We are simply the exceptions. Long guns not the same as there is no...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSFEfiCvFl0 If what he's saying about section 46.02 is right then LEO could always demand ID from groups like OCT, yes/no? I called [pre-paid legal] and talked to a lawyer and that is their view. They can stop, detain, and you will be required to produce chl/id. Beca...

Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....
I have an honest question regarding reasonable articulable suspicion. Carrying a handgun is illigal in Tx according to the Tx constitution. I believe this still applies to something like 97% of Texans. I'm no lawyer but I could very easily articulate the possibility, or even probability of a crime b...
