Re: Ebola outbreak in Africa

In this instance, if the people who are just becoming symptomatic are the ones wearing the face masks, then they are protecting others from the "airborne spray" of infectious material that they are projecting when they cough or sneeze. Unfortunately there are MANY diseases that begin with ...

Re: Ebola outbreak in Africa

This disease is transmitted through fluid contact. This means sweat, mucus, saliva, tears, urine, vomit, blood, etc... Anything "wet" that comes from an infected individual. Sneezing and coughing are notorious culprits here since they spray potentially infectious fluid in an aerosol fashio...

She is currently in the Travis county lockup. The problem is going to be when she gets out. She has lots of cash to get good representation, so who knows what games she will play.

Re: Lethal Force against an unarmed assailant(s)

Any blow to the face, head, neck or spine is considered deadly force AFAIK.

Return of deadly force is justified. Certainly I would do it...

Re: Ok -- Here's a "hypothetical situation" for you...

Getting my wife to do a CHL and get a weapon is probably not going to happen -- she has an aversion to them since her mother committed suicide by shooting herself in the head.

Re: Ok -- Here's a "hypothetical situation" for you...

So let's pretend that my ex-wife was sentenced to 15 years in the Texas pokey for a murder-for-hire plot. Remember, we're just pretending here. Let's also pretend that, while in prison, she tried to get someone to find someone to take ME out. Again, this is "hypothetical". (wink wink) Sin...

Re: Ok -- Here's a "hypothetical situation" for you...

I'm tired of living the boring life.... Does she have a sister? I call my ex "pretty poison". Nice looking exterior, the fires of Hades inside. She has borderline personality disorder, among other things. Her sister, while not nearly as attractive, is twice as looney. I can hook yo...

Re: Ok -- Here's a "hypothetical situation" for you...

I'm also curious about how one would become aware of such a plot or conspiracy. Easy: The VINE system tells me when a warrant is issued. Once I got that message, I checked into what happened and, with the use of a few favors of my Masonic friends, learned that her ankle monitor had reported that sh...

Re: Ok -- Here's a "hypothetical situation" for you...

Personally, I didn't want to go home without a weapon, not realizing at the time that she has been apprehended. I fully expected to find "someone" parked near my house (fortunately the next door neighbor is a state trooper). My wife and I contemplated grabbing the kids from school and goin...

9/20 - Took CHL
9/20 - Submitted online app. Uploaded CHL100
9/22 - FAST fingerprints submitted (it helps that I share office space with the company that performs the service!)

... now we'll see how long it takes.
