Re: Looking for a Car Lockbox
I have the center of mass combination lock version. A couple of points. These are good for preventing smash and grab type thefts. Any tools, e.g., hammer and large screwdriver, and you can get in. Also it only takes maybe 30 minutes to cycle through all possible combinations. Good for what they are...

Made to 2 sizes.
I've been using for 5 years and have been very happy.
Thanks westex1948 and Abraham. I'll look into these. I like that they use a combo instead of a key.

Looking for a Car Lockbox
Hi all, I'm currently considering picking up a pair of these, one for my car and one for the wife's, but some of the reviews on amazon and other site say the lock is made of plastic and can easily break. http://www.amazon.com/GunVault-NV300-NanoVault-Combination-Lock/dp/B00OC8S97M/ref=cm_cr_pr_produ...

Re: Sept 2014
How long after submitting documents did everybody else get confirmations? Do you only get the confirmation after ALL info is in or after the chl-100? May be time for a phone call. I think it depends on how you submit them and what you submit. So I would assume you should get a conformation if you d...

Re: Sept 2014
Do you all have holsters already? What is everyone's choice of holster going to be? I went with a remora. They have a 35% discount and 2 free mag holders right now.

Re: Sept 2014
DPS confirmed my application was received on 8/28 and the status change occurred around 4 days later and I had plastic 5 days after that with a holiday weekend. Until the status change option appeared, it only gave me an option for CHL Instructor application. In other words, everything looks like i...

Re: Learned my lesson about "one in the pipe" today
Which leads me to another question, am I carrying enough gun? I can shoot the heck out of the p238, but I am limited by caliber and round count. I have learned that if it is too large, I won't be able to carry it every day. Suggestions? Or is this a topic for another post? Do you carry and extra ma...

I don't think I have any good advice but with you the best of luck and glad that his injuries weren't as severe as they potentially could've been.
Is mother in law still with us or has she passed? Maybe have her help during cleaning time with a gun check?

Re: Remora Carbon Carry Holster?
You will not beat their customer service. I own several of their no clip and pocket holsters and have no problems. I'm sure their new model will be worth the risk (then you can tell us all about it before we buy one) ;-) I've always wanted to be a pioneer! I cannot comment on the holster you are in...

Re: Remora Carbon Carry Holster?
I'll surely not knock Remora holsters as I own several of their standard no clip holsters (in fact expecting another any day), but that style holster, I don't see any benefit to have the standard Remora backing. I'd be more inclined to go with AlienGear since it has adjustable retention (not rivete...

Remora Carbon Carry Holster?
Hi all, I'm looking to get my first holster and was considering this one. Does anyone have any experience with it or with Remora holsters in general?
