In 2004, I submitted inked fingerprints for my initial application and had no problem.

In 2008, I submitted inked fingerprints for my 1st renewal and had no problem.

The two sets were done by different instructors/fingerprinters.
The first was done at the Bullet Trap by some cop they bring in to do them.
The renewal set was done by an active LEO who was also the class instructor in the McKinney area.
