Good point! Wasn't sure anyone but LEDJedi would know what that meant!Crossfire wrote:...If "sky-clad", then 30.06 wouldn't apply, as there would be no way to conceal.

Re: Large North Texas church posting 30.06
True, and it's my own interpretation of the Jewish and Christian faiths...wasn't really intending to include other religions when I said "church". Had I been referencing the others I would have said, mosques, temples, Stonehenge, or 'sky-clad meadows'.

Re: Large North Texas church posting 30.06
A church should be the last place that would post 30.06 signs. The God given right for one to defend self, loved ones, and other innocents should not be violated, especially in His house.
As far as I'm concerned, a church that denies this basic right is very misguided.

I think there's already a religious Glock fellowship...they're called Tupperware Parties.

Re: Large North Texas church posting 30.06
Interesting stuff from the Catholic documents.
There's a big trend toward specialty churches nowadays...cowboy churches, sportsmen churches, etc.
I think I'm going to start a 1911 Congregational Fellowship. The deacons can double-duty as range masters, ushers can collect brass along with the cash.

So are you guys saying that it's OK to be Baptist after all? Talk about controversial statements!Oldgringo wrote:Thank you for your concern and you are correct. I didn't mean to imply any religious issue. It is an Oldgringo issue with anyone, or any group, attempting to impose their will or beliefs on me against my will.Russell wrote:Careful.Oldgringo wrote:This is just another reason why Mrs. Oldgringo and I are Methodists. I don't think this is a Baptist vs Methodist issue. This is just some police officers who are mistaken in their ideas about what does and does not make people safe.
This is fundamentally the same issue as countless other posts on this forum and that issue is freedom of choice.
By the way, Fellowship Church (MegaChurch in Grapevine) is also 30.06 posted (hence it's my FORMER church).
