Re: Kenya Mall attack kills at least 39

I just listened to an interview with the man in these photographs: http://static1.businessinsider.com/image/52459376ecad0464758f041a-800-/rtx13tk1(1).jpg he apparently received a text from his brother trapped inside and immediately departed where he was at to come to the mall and rescue his brother....

in addition to getting my regular work stuff done today, I now have a number of side actions that need doing, so my participation on this thread will be limited and brief.

my home was broken into last night

my time to write up this post is a bit limited, so I'll post the executive summary and fill in details later when I have more time. first, a question for people with knowledge and experience in this area: my SSN was on a laptop that was taken. now that I must assume that my SSN is out in the wild, w...

Re: Poly Lower Receivers?

They're actually MORE mil-spec than aluminum lowers, in fact. That's why you'll find that the mating between the upper and lower on a New Frontier Armory lower is extremely snug with no "slop". I definitely agree. my current precision AR is a rather odd frankenstein of a rock river pursui...

One of our fav youtube contributors - now on NRA News

yes, Mr Colion Noir will be contributing material for NRA news. I'm excited to see what he'll be saying, as well as the reaction from those who would like to stereotype the NRA membership.

wow. I am thoroughly impressed with Senator Graham. he was perfectly reasonable, logical, and compelling in his remarks.

as for the remainder: uneducated conjecture, misrepresented data and emotional appeal.

Re: I made myself an appendix carry rig for my G17

Putting that belt loop towards the centerline will tend to push the butt outward. If you put that loop on the other side, you'll tend to push the butt towards the body, where it'll conceal better. I like that. I saw another design where they put in a spacer at the rear hook point to force the gun t...

Does it hold up when you draw? In other words, can you re-holster with one hand?
thanks! the leather is fairly stiff. it collapses a small amount when the gun is removed, but not enough to prevent you from re-holstering with 1 hand.

Re: Training with Air Guns

I have one of these: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41Iwd12FRVL._SL500_SS500_.jpg it's ergonomics exactly match my carry/comp gun, but it looks just different enough so Glock's lawyers don't harass the maker. it was a bit pricey, but it lets me do more realistic training in my garage or back ...

I made myself an appendix carry rig for my G17

I had this design sort of floating around my head for a while, so I figured I'd fab it up and see how it worked. I've made a few traditional pancake style holsters, and one other appendix-specific design, but after using it, I saw some improvements I could make. my first rev was this: http://i.imgur...
