Flintknapper,
I was web surfing a bit this evening and found a smith that does a moonclip conversion specifically for the SP-101. Looks pretty good and all you need send is your cylinder.

1. Yes, they are held firmly in the moonclips. However, the rounds still move a bit as they would with a speedloader. You might have the same problem with clearance when trying to stuff the rounds in quickly past the grip. 2. You should be able to use the ejector rod. That would depend on how long i...

Charles, I'll second the Ranger SXT recommendation. It feeds as well as anything I've shot in 1911's, BHP's and CZ's. It has also proven to be very accurate. Saving 30 - 50 percent over the other premiums doesn't hurt either. M.A.H. Supplies, http://mahsupplies.net , has about the best prices on the...

Charles, I purchased a .40 BHP a few years ago. Unfortunately, not at $400. My stock barrel shot 170 -175 gr TC cast bullets very well. 165 and 180 gr jacket bullets hammered. The stock trigger and sights were acceptable. I found the pistol a bit much with full power carry loads - hammer bite and to...

Berry bullets
Dustin, I've reloaded Berry's .45 200 SWC for quite some time with outstanding down range accuracy. They're fine bullets. If you keep velocities for the .40 155gr plated bullets between 900 fps and 1100 fps, you should be fine. When seating, remove the flare, but do not taper crimp too much. If you ...

Blurry sights
Andrew, I too suffer from presbyopia and astigmatism. I've learned that I can still shoot acceptably well wearing my "street" glasses (progressive bifocals). My sight picture is not as clear as when wearing Knoblochs. I've found that certain sight types, Novak and Heinie, with deeper and w...

1. How much is the initial investment? The initial investment greatly depends on your choice of reloading presses and dies. There are three main types of reloading presses – single stage, progressive and turret. There are two types of dies – carbide and non-carbide. Carbide pistol sizing dies no...

Shooting to the left
Blazen, One of the two main causes, pushing the trigger finger, has already been discussed. If you shoot right handed, the other cause is squeezing the grip tighter as you execute the shot. This is a fairly common problem for many shooting compact pistols. I shot pistol competitively many years ago ...
