Re: 2018 Church Security : Palestine, Humble, Lubbock, & El Paso.
I attended their 12/12/17 seminar in Plano. Very informative. Lots of "this is why you need a security plan" information, as well as lots of "this is where you start" information for churches who are wondering what their first step should be. In short, their message is that you d...

How's this for a sobering thought:

Re: Pleasure Pier Galveston
I was there with family this past weekend, 5-21-16, and decided to eat at Bubba Gump's but we did not, nor did we intend to, enter the "amusement park" section. We didn't see any other way to enter BG's besides the ramp, so up we went. The large 30.06 sign is still posted on the left side ...

Re: College Kids - Desire to carry
I'm a proud dad to two daughters. The oldest just turned 19, is a student at a community college, and can't wait to get her LTC when she turns 21. She shoots tighter groups with my Taurus Judge than I do, and it is her gun of choice at the moment. Might just have to save up and get her the poly vers...

The Ultimate Test (Of Concealment)
I’ve been carrying just over three weeks and I’ve done the Wally Walk, among others. Today I went down to the local convenience store carrying my Bersa Thunder .380 in a Blackhawk IWB holster clipped onto my athletic shorts and covered by a one-size-too-big t-shirt. As luck would have it I parked ri...

Hugging faux pas by a newbie
Hi all, My wife and I went to a coffee shop the other night to hear a friend sing for open mic night. I had my Bersa Thunder .380 IWB at 2:00 under a Hawaiian shirt and no one was the wiser (except my wife). I'm not normally a hugger but while we were all standing around after the concert I gave our...

New member intro and frustrating injury
Hi all. Just registered today but have been lurking since I took my class 4-26-14. Got fingerprinted 5-5-14 and mailed the packet 5-6-14. Waited the prescribed 60(ish) days before I ever checked the DPS site and experienced the lack of status update others have been talking about. Found a thread on ...
