Haha! Got plastic back on 7/11/14, and just now getting responses from questions! Just got an update telling me my CHL was mailed out on 7/7/14. Wow.

Got home from work, and plastic was in the mail box!! Guess the new "change address" screen does mean it's on its way! There is light at the end of the tunnel it seems!

Just called TXDPS.…
NO WAIT TIME!!! Answered right away!! When I asked to check my status, the guy was very nice, and said it mailed out on the 7th!! Am I dreaming?! Now I get to wait by the mail box!!

Man I hope so!! Mine has changed ( as of yesterday) to this page as well! I tried calling a few times today, only to get the " we have to many calls, to answer yours" recorded message.

Actually from 5/3/14 to 7/4/14 is one day short of 9 weeks (9 weeks x 7 days per week = 63 days). Coming to 62 calendar days total. But, Since it was afternoon when I submitted application, I did not count that day. Therefore, from day of application day to today = 61 days. But I appreciate you trying to correct me. Now if you want to count from the day they received my documents, then it's 51 days from 5/13/14. Just correcting your math.

So… I called the state yesterday. After getting a message the first couple tries saying, they're busy, try again, I finally got through, ( after a 25 minute hold time). The guy asked when I submitted my docs, I told him 5/13/14 is the receipt recieved date by txdps, and I also uploaded a couple weeks ago. He then asked if I recieved a confirmation that they recieved the documents, I told him yes, (although it was a canned response). I was then told, no information has been entered into the system, but if I recieved the confirmation letter, then they have my paper work. Then told not to try to contact them for an update for another two weeks. guess I need to contact my state rep as well.

happy 4th of July everyone!

Day 45, and nothing has changed. I've emailed only to receive canned responses. Frustrating.

42 days since arrival of docs to TXDPS, still nothing.

Re-submitted my CHL-100 and barcode checklist today via email. Maybe that will help move to the top of the stack, (Or at least get an update on my status). I have received an email stating TXDPS has received my info.

submitted chl -100, and checklist via USPS certified mail - 5/7/14
signed received by TXDPS in Austin - 5/13/14

as of today (37 days after received by DPS, yet feels like a year!), the DPS website still reads:

"License Status: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page."

should I be concerned? should I re-submit by email?
