You are correct, and I was wrong in the way that I wrote that. If I'm in the stands at a College Football game I'd be concerned if I were caught carrying.Keith B wrote:Actually, it says 'on the premises of' and premises is defined in the statute as a building or portion of a building. NOW, the quesiton is does a stadium with no roof qualify as a building? Does a fenced in set of bleachers qualify as a 'building'? Only a test case would tell, so i am not going to press my luck on that one.TVGuy wrote:You are incorrect. Statute says nothing about said sporting event being inside a building.ronin wrote: Sort of. You are incorrect. Statute says nothing about said sporting event being inside a building.ronin wrote:Sort of. In looking at their Prohibited Items List, they list:
"Weapons of any kind, including guns, knives, pepper spray, handcuffs, nightsticks or other items"

Given the difficulty of just getting up to the gate (i.e. busses and traffic), I'd rather have an idea before I get there. Without valid 30.06 signs posted at the entrances, I believe I am within my rights to carry.
Any opinions?
NOPE. Carry prohibited at professional sporting event.
