It shows that status until they have started processing everything. They are waiting on background checks to be completed and your fingerprints to be uploaded to their system. I received my first update on day 45.

Welcome, u might want to forget about it for about 8 weeks. Checking daily or weekly will start to frustrate you. Dps says they are back logged 2 months.
