(2) on the premises of a polling place on the day of an election or while early voting is in progress;
If the portion of the building you are in is not being used for voting, I don't believe you are in violation."Premises" means a building or a portion of a building.
I early voted at a grocery store today. Had I been there to grocery stop and stayed away from the area being used for voting, I don't believe I would be in violation by carrying. However, since I was there and went to the "portion of the building" being used for voting, I could not carry.
