Re: Bum banging on my door.
This is a good example of why I have security cameras/alarms at all my doors, each automatically recording video/audio from my house down to the street. I installed them after having my own problem with solicitors. Very glad that I have them. +1. As an added bonus, all of my cameras are hardwired, ...

Re: HB987: Rep. Anchia's "Protect the Criminal" Bill
Wow, lots of information and frankly I found the history lesson to be very useful and enlightening. Just to confirm, right now this isn't yet a call to action - meaning that you're not yet recommending that we contact our Representatives or take any other action?

Re: SB 288 - Motorcycle "lane splitting" bill
I don't know if any of you ride...I'm on a Harley Davidson ultra limited...That to me looks awfully narrow. can't wait to see what happens when a novice takes out someones side view mirror or some irritated jackass who does not know the law opens his car door when a bike approaches. Exactly my conc...

Re: SB 288 - Motorcycle "lane splitting" bill
I apologize in advance if this should be in a different area, as it is not gun related. SB 288 is awaiting referral to committee. It would legalize controlled lane splitting of motorcycles in Texas. Studies have shown that this is both beneficial to traffic flow and to rider safety. Take a look. Ho...

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?
Honest question - how can a Senator provide support for a house bill? I am going to call my senator today and want to know what it is I can actually ask her to do to provide support. There are two ways. If a Senate companion bill is filed, they can sign onto it and/or support it. If no companion is...

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?
It took one full month to get a reply, but this is what I got (which to me sounds a bit like a non-answer I think): Thank you so much for sharing your position with our office regarding House Bill (HB) 560. This issue is very important to Representative Huberty and he appreciates your voice and advo...

That is just so sad.nightmare69 wrote:They should have just let him order and spit in his food like the rest of the anti-police fast food workers do. I'm sure I've eaten my fair share of saliva.

Re: Shooting at FLL today
All luggage heading to US are scanned at the port of departure. I smell a stinky story here. Someone transferred the firearm at the restroom. This was the police chief saying it, with the FBI next to him. Are you saying that you can't check a gun on a flight to the US? Correct. On international fli...

Wow. Shooter came in on a flight from Canada, had a checked gun in baggage, claimed that and took the gun into the restroom and then came out shooting.

News conference about to start and it does sound like it was one shooting, with witnesses hearing from all sides and reporting it. Reported so far is 5 dead, and 8 injured, but that's before the official conference starts.

Re: Shooting at FLL today
They are still treating it as an active shooter situation is ongoing, but there is a conflict between TSA who says another potential shooter and the mayor saying it was an unknown noise in the garage.
