I got my CHL in the mail today. Exactly 2 months from mailbox to mailbox. I mailed everything in March 17th and got my CHL May 17th. Thanks everyone for keeping me company in the "Waiting Room" time for Wally walk...

I have a holster for my glock 23 but I doubt I will be carring that brick IWB. I need to get a holster for my Makarovs and I am seriously thinking about getting a Glock 42 for EDC (pocket carry). My status updated to "mailed" yesterday so hopefully by Monday I will have plastic.sikacz wrote:Well if not this weekend then next! I am in the same boat. We actually sent our forms in at the same time (3/17) and my Certified mail stated "delivered" on March 19th. I also took my CHL class in February of 2013. Funny Coincidence. I would expect to see both of our status changes around the same time. Now we wait impatiently...texas_suzie wrote:I'm just wondering if my time schedule is within norms. Status still says waiting documents.
I emailed 4/15 requesting a status update, no response. I emailed again today requesting a status update. I think I'll call next Monday if I don't hear anything. I'd just like to know my package was not lost. No, I did not send with tracking or return receipt.
The only oddity is that I took the class in Feb 2013. Life got in the way, but I did not see anything about an expiration date or a timeline. The state sure took my money fast enough.

I did not know you could upload the documents on an initail CHL application. I was under the impression from researching various threads here that you could only upload the documents for renewals. As far as the 6 week turnarround that I stated earlier, that was more of a best case scenario from documents recived to printing status update. I think 2 full months is more accurate for plastic in hand.

Now the wait begins. It took me 364 days from the date I completed the class to when I submitted my application. Waiting another 2 months should be easy. It looks like turn around times are averaging 6 weeks from the January and February "waiting room" threads.
