And what stops a BG from doing just that? Constructive criticism not negativity. The OP posted to get peoples opinions and thats what he is getting. If you want to use your concealed handgun license to open carry fine, but I dont think having your personal information out for everyone to see is a good idea.
how would anyone do that without you knowing? If you just let them then they can take your wallet out of your pocket just as easy. I mean you may not like wearing an ID but that a badguy will know where you live is not a real reason against it. I can public records you plate number and in 30 seconds get your address. Don't want BG's to know about your guns then don't OC. Pretending they can read the tiny printing on your ID is just silly.
Depending upon proximity, age, vision, there's nothing silly about it. I've read various id tags people were wearing and my eyes are far from young.

You'd be surprised what you can glean from security clearance ID's when standing in line.
