Partnering with local Ranges
For those of you that have been teaching for some time, how do you develop partnerships with local ranges? I don't mean to qualify, I mean developing a relationship where they advertise or co-advertise for you and you run the classes that are scheduled at that range. Are those people usually employe...

Re: Timeline for Instructor Processing
How long does it generally take for instructors to get word back that all their documents look good, and please register for the instructor course with DPS? I submitted my docs on 8/18/15. Called 3 weeks ago and they said they were still processing. How many times did you have to call before a pers...

Re: Waco/Bellmead purse snatcher
She has since turned herself in the local law enforcement, no charges filed yet. Wouldn't this cover the situation though: (B) to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery , aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property; and ...

Re: Waco/Bellmead purse snatcher
I just watched the video. My observations: 1> I would not have jumped out of my vehicle with a firearm and inserted myself into the situation in the first place. Observe and report unless he was a direct threat to me or was armed himself. 2> She didn't shoot him. She raises her gun and fires a warn...

Re: Instructor manages to scare student into not carrying a
:iagree: Not only that, but these options are beaten to DEATH. I can't watch a firearms channel on youtube without seeing a prepaid insurance commercial. It's EVERYWHERE... It's also un-ethical to take class time to discuss something like this. Certain situations are different, but forcing your PAI...

Re: Instructor manages to scare student into not carrying a
I find sales pitches highly inappropriate when attending a CHL class. I do too. I assume the relationship exists for the financial benefit of the instructor. Although ours swore up and down that he didn't get "anything" from said well known law-whatever... Yeah.... right. Somebody is gett...

I've seen these before and considered them, but thought retrieving the gun might be somewhat questionable. I just ordered an Urban Carry (http://urbancarryholsters.com/holsters- ... carry.html) so we'll see how that works out!

Re: Company leased vehicle and CHL
I don't know how the police would know or get involved, but this is specifically talked about in the LC... Texas Labor Code Sec. 52.062. EXCEPTIONS. (a) Section 52.061 does not: (1) authorize a person who holds a license to carry a concealed handgun under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, ...

Submitted a form on your website! Thanks! Glad to see someone else charging reasonable prices in the Fort Worth area. I had been using another FFL in Arlington that was pretty reasonable, but you guys are closer to me!

Re: The Urban Carry
How about a Sneaky Pete? I've looked at, and thought about those several times, but always think: 1) Depending on what gun you have, that's a significantly bigger holster than you'd need for a cell... 2) Cell phone case on hip, pulls cell phone from pocket... 3) I personally use my left hand/pocket...
